The money for this fund has come from the extra charge on disposable cups from our cafes in the LUU building. It’s fantastic to be able to make the most of this policy – which is itself contributing to reducing our environmental impact – by giving the money right back to student ideas!
We’ll be seeking input from the Student Sustainability Advisory Board when considering applications, to ensure students are involved in the allocation of the funding.
We’re really looking forward to hearing about your ideas to support students and contribute to LUU’s continuing efforts to be more environmentally sustainable. Working with students this year we’ve been so impressed with the ideas, projects and work which individuals and groups are already running, and hope to support some of these as well as inspire new initiatives.
