Partnership Awards
About Partnership Awards
Each year we hold the Partnership Awards, celebrating students and staff who have enhanced the Leeds community by embodying the values of The Leeds Partnership. Put simply, we want to hear from you about the people who make the Leeds learning experience so brilliant – from equality and inclusion, to feedback and assessment.
Historically, the Partnership Awards has always looked to celebrate the achievements of our staff and students, but, since 2022, we have been realigning the awards to be inclusive of all those in our community who contribute to making sure our students love their time at Leeds.
“For the last two years The Partnership Awards have been a huge highlight of my year, as we celebrate everything that the University of Leeds prides itself on. Nominations are for absolutely everyone – students, colleagues, collectives – and are a chance to celebrate those who have helped you love your time at Leeds. It’s a privilege that I get to champion the best of the best at Leeds, and I can’t wait to read all the nominations and celebrate together this year!” – Bethan Corner, LUU Education Officer
“The Leeds Partnership Awards give us all the opportunity to recognise and appreciate the individuals and teams that make our campus special. Whether it’s for a student, academic or professional services staff member, your nomination will let someone know how valued they are in our university community. I look forward to reading about the passion, diversity and ingenuity taking place across our classrooms, research labs and lecture halls.” – Jeff Grabill, Deputy Vice Chancellor: Student Education

Why should I nominate?
All nominees will receive an email letting them know what a good job someone thinks they’re doing. This can be a huge boost to people’s wellbeing and satisfaction at Leeds, and helps us to showcase the best of our University. Winners will be celebrated at Faculty-level events, and the best nominees in each category will compete for the University-wide awards at a special ceremony in April.
Last year’s Overall Partnership Award winner Claire Gribben, from the School of Earth and Environment, said:
“To receive positive comments via the nomination form was such an unexpected but wonderful surprise. Then to win the overall award was amazing!”
