The proposals on which students will be invited to vote are:
Should LUU support UCU strike action?
+
Should the University change external cafes and outlets on campus to be student led and run by LUU?
Students will be invited to vote on Engage from Monday 2 May – Thursday 5 May, where they will be able to choose ‘yes’, ‘no’ or ‘abstain’ in response to the questions. By actively abstaining via Engage, your opinion will count towards quoracy, which is the minimum number of votes we need to validate the outcome – at least 1,500 students need to have their say. The decisions will be announced on Friday 6 May.
In order to ensure the referendum is as fair as possible, LUU will take a neutral, informational stance during the campaign, directing students to information from both sides of the debate. As such, you can find all the information you need to make your decision over on Engage, courtesy of the campaigners for each idea.

As a member-led organisation, every student can make a difference to the way we do things, whether that’s by becoming a rep, changing a policy or voting in one of our annual elections. You can discover more about how we establish new policies via Better Forums, as well as our current three-year policies below.
