Free sanitary supplies for all Leeds students

Your sexual and menstrual health is important to us. They’re really important factors in your overall health and wellbeing, and having access to the products you need – without any financial strain or embarrassment – is essential to ensuring your health and happiness.

That’s why we’re going to be providing sustainable period products, contraceptives and other sexual health items totally free of charge to students who need them, in cabinets around the Union building.

The period care items, including sanitary pads and tampons, are already in place for students to take, and we’ll soon be adding sexual health essentials to the cabinets, too. Check back here and on our social media channels for further updates.

By replacing existing sanitary product dispensers with cabinets that are accessible to all, we’re able to offer a wider range of products to every student who needs them, including sexual health essentials and more sustainable period product options. It also means we can offer bigger packs of period products, helping out students experiencing period poverty rather than those just caught out on campus.

 

Find them in cabinets outside the Executive Office (1st Floor) & in the Advice Office in the Foyer. Just help yourself, but please only take what you need to ensure there’s enough for everyone. If you do find that something’s out of stock, just let us know at Help & Support and we’ll get it filled back up.
