Día de los Muertos
Join LUU’s Mexican Society for a two day celebration of Día de los Muertos (or Day of the Dead) here at LUU. There’s plenty of stuff on to celebrate – from traditional craft sessions like sugar skull moulding and altar making, to performances and readings – so take a look at our article on the traditions of the holiday and get signed up. The celebrations are taking place on 1 and 2 November.

Hit up Scream, our campus ice cream and dessert parlour for some extra scary treats this Halloween, including the Spooky Sundae and Beastly Brownie – head in store to find out more.
And if you’re after something warmer, our coffee shops Balcony and Common Ground have some autumnal specials to get you in the fall feeling:
- Biscoff Latte – A classic latte with caramel syrup, topped with whipped cream, caramel sauce and a Lotus Biscoff biscuit.
- Nutty Hot Chocolate – Dark hot chocolate with hazelnut syrup, with whipped cream and dark chocolate sauce.
Both can be made with plant-based milks and non-dairy whipped cream.
Spooky essentials at Co-op
You can get your hands on everything you need for a great Halloween right here on campus, with Co-op stocking pumpkins (small £1, large £2), multipack sweets to keep the trick or treaters happy, and Halloween-themed chocolates and cupcakes for a spooky snack.
