For the first time in the competition’s history, the Leeds Gryphons sports teams have beaten Leeds Beckett University in the overall scores of Leeds Varsity, winning by a one-point margin to seal a 30 – 29 victory.
The Gryphons clinched the overall win after several close-cut games including the women’s basketball, netball and men’s swimming fixtures.
LUU’s Activities Officer Lauren Huxley said, “For the first time ever we triumphed over Leeds Beckett in the overall scores at Varsity and took the Trophy!
