Varsity is over, and Leeds have taken the champion trophy with the score of 69-49!
During the last few days, University of Leeds faced their Leeds Beckett rivals across multiple sports games, including tennis, waterpolo, football, golf, gymnastics, and so much more. The event kicked off with a netball match and concluded at the Headingley Stadium with a rugby finale. There were also plenty of half-time performances and other events as part of the Varsity Festival which brought everyone together in a celebration of life at Leeds.
We’d like to thank everyone who got involved to make Varsity 2023 so special – from staff working behind the scenes to every fan and supporter attending the events and cheering Team Gryphon, to, of course, our incredible athletes – thank you. The passion, pride and friendship was there, and the atmosphere was truly uplifting.
