A statement from your Officers on Salma al-Shehab
We’d like to express our sadness at the recent sentencing of Salma al-Shehab, a PhD student from the University of Leeds. Salma is a Saudi student who returned home for a holiday and was sentenced to 34 years in prison for following and retweeting activists and dissidents on Twitter.
We’re working on finding ways to support Salma and our thoughts are with her, her family, and her friends at this difficult time.
